Twelve tools, 28 evaluation lenses and seven categories, weighted for a business protecting online accounts, benefits and transactions.

What the score means
The score is an editorial assessment of documented product fit, integration scope, operational controls and commercial access for this buyer brief. Category grades run from 0 to 5: 0 means no established fit for the category, 3 means a useful but bounded fit, and 5 means a particularly strong fit for this brief. The four lenses in each category guide its grade; the published category grade is the input to the formula.
How the calculation works
Multiply each category grade by its percentage weight, add the seven results and divide by 50. Round to one decimal for a 0–10 score. Weights total 100 percent. A business whose main purchase is a chargeback guarantee or native location intelligence may choose different weights.
Evidence and judgment
Official product, documentation and pricing pages establish the product facts. The editorial assessment considers how those facts fit the specified buyer task. Review pages explain each product’s rationale and tradeoff. Source review date: October 21, 2026.
Keep product facts, interpretation and pilot recommendations distinct. Preserve billing units and platform or plan boundaries. Use source links that let readers check the fact, and label unknown pricing as a quote rather than inventing a number.
Editor’s Choice
The award identifies a particularly useful starting point for this general account-abuse brief. It adds no points. ShieldLabs combines device/network context, account-abuse detections and published entry access. Other vendors may fit a specific merchant, mobile or bot-control requirement more closely.
